Nara Lokesh Meets LG Electronic
Seoul, South Korea: Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education, Information Technology, and Electronics, Nara Lokesh, held separate meetings with Mr. Lyu Jae Cheol, Global CEO of LG Electronics, and Mr. Hong Ju Jeon, CEO of LG Electronics India, at the LG Twin Towers in Seoul.
During the meetings, Minister Lokesh invited LG Electronics to expand its presence in Andhra Pradesh as part of the company’s India growth strategy. He requested the company to consider establishing an Engineering Center/Global Capability Center (GCC) in Visakhapatnam, complementing its existing operations in Noida and Bengaluru.
The Minister also urged LG Electronics to explore setting up a component manufacturing facility in Sri City and nearby areas for products such as display modules, sensors, and power electronics, strengthening the electronics manufacturing ecosystem in the state.
In addition, he invited LG Electronics to collaborate with RTIH to develop Innovation Labs focused on Internet of Things (IoT) and Robotics, aiming to promote research, innovation, and advanced technology development in Andhra Pradesh.
The discussions reflected the Andhra Pradesh Government’s continued efforts to attract global technology investments and position the state as a leading hub for electronics manufacturing, innovation, and high-tech industries.
