Andhra Pradesh Records India’s Largest Ever FDI Investment

In a historic milestone for India’s technology and investment landscape, an agreement was signed in New Delhi for the establishment of a Google 1 Gigawatt Hyperscale Data Center Campus in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
The agreement was inked in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, IT Minister Nara Lokesh, and Union Ministers, marking a transformative step toward positioning Andhra Pradesh as India’s next global digital hub.
With an investment of USD 15 billion (approximately ₹1,33,000 crore), this project represents India’s single largest FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) to date. The project is expected to boost Andhra Pradesh’s position in the global data infrastructure ecosystem and significantly enhance employment opportunities, digital connectivity, and regional economic growth.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed that this investment reflects the global confidence in Andhra Pradesh’s governance, stability, and futuristic vision. He emphasized that the state is now attracting world-leading corporations and investments in the tech and digital sectors.
“This is not just an investment—it’s a partnership for the future. Andhra Pradesh is ready to power India’s digital revolution,” said Naidu.
